Article Summary by: SorS

In 1978, the State Data Center (SDC) Program began as a cooperative agreement between the states and the U.S. Bureau of the Census. te Data Centers assist the Census Bureau by disseminating Census and other federal statistics.

A variety of statistical reports from State and Federal agencies may be accessed through the NJSDC network. Most statistics are from the U.S. Bureau of the Census' regular and special censuses and surveys. NJSDC publishes New Jersey data from the 2000 Census of Population and Housing as they are available on a flow basis.

The mission of the State Data Center program is to provide efficient access to U.S. Census Bureau data and data products, provide training and technical assistance to data users, and provide a mechanism for feedback to the Census Bureau on data usability, state and local government data needs, and operational issues.

Searching for a next-generation data center? ADC is commited to assisting clients to develop data center infrastructure to suit their specific needs.
