Overview

ITDC is looking for a Java developer to support our customer at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). The NIH is the largest biomedical research agency in the world and home to many valuable data resources and platforms at the forefront of data science for data research.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and maintain web-based grant management application systems for the National Institutes of Health – eRA Program (era.nih.gov)
  • Develop, test, enhance and maintain code per user requirements using Java, J2EE, Oracle, Eclipse, XML, Bootstrap and various other technologies to meet unique and challenging business goals
  • Provide production support

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field~
  • Experience with Object oriented design and development
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using J2EE/JEE technologies (Java 8, Spring MVC,Spring JDBC)
  • Experience with RDMS and database design (Oracle, PL/SQL)
  • Experience with XML, Web Services (RESTful, SOAP), Apache CXF
  • Experience with front-end design and development (Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript libraries, JQuery, Ajax, Tiles, Angular)
  • Experience with automated development testing (JUNIT, Cucumber, Selenium)
  • Experience with Source Control and CM Tools (Git, Stash, JIRA)
  • Experience working in Agile environments and understanding of Agile Scrum methodology
